gsm ringtones Dual-mode handsets could have, and should have, been available at least five years ago. A suggestion to all handset manufacturers: Produce a basic (read cheap) dual-mode handset. To keep cost down, these basic dual-mode models don't need fancy features such as a VGA camera (no MMS), Bluetooth, MP3 player, TFT LCD color screen, Java games, WAP, infrared, polyphonic ringtones or even Wi-Fi, just keep it simple. Only "normal" calls and SMS are supported for true global roaming. As usual, billing charges would be decided among network providers. We are waiting for 3G services to really perform as advertised and promised. For the time being, more dual-mode phones should be offered now.
